Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers

Am I too fat?

Probably not.  If you can fit in the seat I can pedal you and the date sitting in your lap. If you are an NFL offensive line man, let me know in advance please so I can get extra sleep. Twice a man has sat down and I immediately knew something was different.

Can I customize a tour?

Of course. Tell me what you want to see and I’ll figure out a way to show it to you.

Do you offer pickup and drop-off?

I do and it’s free if within a mile of Central Park South.  I meet most people at a Starbucks three blocks south of the Park.  That will save you walking through a gauntlet of pedicab driver pretending to sell Horse Carriage rides so they can lie you onto a pedicab.

What’s the best season to visit Central Park?

Each season has a different beauty. In the Winter you might see Central Park in the snow.  The skyline is most visible when there are no leaves on the trees.  Central Park in Autumn is perfect for a romantic comedy.  Spring, there are flowers everywhere and the air is fresh.  Summer, the Park is vibrant and intoxicating and you see what the planners were after.

I have been ripped off by NYC pedicabs in the past. Why should I trust you?

Price gouging has been a serious problem in NYC for years.  I’ve been a leader over the years in trying to make it as hard as possible for the mobile sociopaths. Psychopathic Price Gougers: Midtown Pedicabs (gawker.com)

Do I have to book in advance?

It’s a good idea if you want me personally to pedal you.  I ride a pedicab on the side for extra money and exercise so my schedule varies.  With the pandemic, NYC has been slow so I’ve been concentrating on other things.  I don’t need days of advance notice however.  Often I only need a couple of hours to get into the City, collect my pedicab and pedal up to Central Park.
